FIU Update Presentation

The Head of the Financial Intelligence Unit, Adrian Hale, will provide a presentation, which will cover a number of key important topics including the followings:-
• The FIUs preparation for the forthcoming mutual evaluation by MONEYVAL scheduled for April 2024, including the impact that this may have on the Bailiwicks Boards of Directors, and the work that the FIU is undertaking with reporting entities that have been selected to be interviewed by the MONEYVAL assessors during the onsite visit
• The quality of reporting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the FIU, and the importance of good quality quarterly Board reports by reporting officers (MRLOs)
• The Bailiwick of Guernsey Consent Regime, including recent guidance issued to reporting entities
• The International work that the FIU is involved in including EGMONT, International Anti-Corruption Coordination Centre (IACCC) and the Quad Island FIU Forum (Gibraltar, Guernsey, Isle of Man and Jersey)
• Updates on Terrorist Financing and Proliferation Financing
• Any other matters that the IOD which to raise with the Head of the FIU
