About GACO

The Guernsey Association of Compliance Officers (“GACO”) was formed in April 1999 with the following objectives:

• To provide a forum for discussion of compliance issues
• To provide information and other services to its members
• To assist other formal Guernsey bodies on compliance issues

GACO currently has a membership approaching 200 individuals representing more than 80 firms drawn from all sectors of the financial services industry in Guernsey.  This diversity of membership is reflected in the composition of the Committee, which has people with a range of backgrounds and experience covering all the elements of the financial services businesses in Guernsey.  Committee members are elected for a 2-year term of office by the members at the Annual General Meeting and can be assisted by co-opted members.
